Online discount deals firm Negotiate Now has revealed that it intends to expand and create 100 new Glasgow jobs for local residents. The company offers a central place for contractors, trades and businesses to offer slashed price services to local customers. As part of the expansion, the firm hopes to offer the majority of jobs to those who are currently out of work.
Most of the 100 new jobs will form part of a telesales team, though there will be a limited number of jobs available in social media consultancy, IT and business development. Located in the east end of Glasgow, Negotiate Now’s expansion comes as it creates Business Growth Now, a new division following the same principals as the main website.
Managing director of Negotiate Now and the new company, Stephen Lyall, said that he was delighted to be offering the new positions and said: “I am keen, where possible, to recruit from the ranks of the unemployed. We are willing to provide training, with help from public sector partners, where possible, to give a chance to those who have not been lucky enough to find work in the past, or who have been out of work for some time.”
Talking of the company’s new venture, Mr Lyall explained that one of the largest issues in business start up was that entrepreneurs simply didn’t have enough experience. Business Growth Now will enable individuals to find help with developing their business, whilst Negotiate Now will help companies expand their customer base.
