Poole Harbour

The coastal town of Poole is situated in the county of Dorset. The tourist resort attracts visitors with its large natural harbour, history and Lighthouse arts centre. The town has a busy cross-channel freight and passenger ferry service and is also a Royal Marines base. The town is governed by a unitary authority - Poole Borough Council.

Poole has four railway stations on the South Western mainline which connects London Waterloo to Weymouth. Three of those stations are outside the town with Poole railway station being the town’s main platform. The nearest major airport is 11 miles away at Bournemouth, offering international and domestic flights.
