This large town in Surrey is a part of the Greater London Urban Area and the London commuter belt. This means that frequent trains connect it to Waterloo station in just 24 minutes. The town has a population of around 63,000 lies around 20 miles southwest of Charing Cross in central London.

The famous and historic McLaren Group is based in the town. McLaren is responsible for McLaren Racing, who race in the Formula One World Championship.
